Membership Picnic - September 13, 2008

Our 2008 Membership Picnic will be Saturday, September 13, at Burdette Park, Shelter # 18. Doors open at noon with a complimentary lunch buffet at 1 p.m. Congressman Brad Ellsworth will be this year's speaker. All WIA members and guests are welcome, especially anyone considering becoming a member!

Please make your reservation by Monday, September 9 by e-mailing DeAnna Outlaw.

Invite your friends and neighbors, make your reservations, bring your lawn chairs, and prepare to have fun! Remember, Burdette offers batting cages, miniature golf, horseshoe and washer pits, playgrounds, and more.

Membership Picnic - September 15, 2007

Our annual Membership Picnic will be Saturday, September 15, at Burdette Park, Shelter # 13. Doors open at noon with a complimentary lunch buffet at 1 p.m. This year's program will feature Lauren Preske, manager of the Howell Wetlands. All WIA members and guests are welcome, especially anyone considering becoming a member!

Membership Picnic - September 16, 2006

Join us at Burdette Park, Shelter # 13, at noon on Saturday, September 16. All WIA members, prospective members, and family and friends are invited. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. There is no charge, but reservations are required by September 8--call or e-mail DeAnna Outlaw, 589-1657. Available activities will include cards, horseshoes, basketball, miniature golf, and more. Tour new improvements to Burdette Park, and learn about the coming USI-Burdette biking/hiking trail. We had a great time at our first picnic in 2004--just check out the pictures below!

Treasurer Bernice Sensmeier signs up a new member.	Fred and Shelby as Shelby gives a fascinating history of Burdette Park. Who knew Shelby slept on a pooltable?	Burdette historian Bill Murphy adds information and later conducted a bus tour of Burdette.	Yum--the food was excellent!

A fine time, indeed! Let's do this again next year. A special thanks to Joyce Moers, Steve Craig, Bill Murphy, and all the Burdette Park staff for the wonderful facilities.
