New Business

Dot Berning said that Willard Library will take some of the files but not all of them. Linda Cleek responded that Willard will take the files; they just need to be organized. Carolyn Stagg wondered if some of the files, such as studies and documents from the onset of WIA, could be recorded to microfiche. Fred Padget said WIA is getting a committee together between now and March to go through the files.

Program
Dot Berning introduced Erik Beck, General Curator, Mesker Park Zoo. Erik presented a program, “New at the Zoo.” He discussed the proposed Zoo improvements made possible from a bond. Some of the highlights of these improvements include: Amazonian and front entrance complex, Veterinarian complex, greenhouse, Lake Victoria erosion control project. The timeline for these projects is 2003-2007. Erick also showed a slide presentation highlighting the Veterinarian complex and its procedures for animal quarantine. The program ended with an active question and answer session.
