It had been sunk using lead and steel shot. The bridge crossing the mouth of the creek will be painted red and will become a part of the park planned for that area along the river.

Program:

Mr. Bob Connor of the Environmental Management Corporation presented concerns regarding sewer systems. He stated that many of the city's sewers were over 100 years old. There are over 700 miles of sewer line in the city and county. Flooding of yards and basements are the main complaints. This is due to combination sewers where storm water is sent through sanitary sewers.. A good many of these complaints could be solved if every
one would divert the storm water away from the sanitary by directing their water spouts accordingly. For quick response to complaints and after hours call 421 2130 which goes directly in touch with the Dispatch Office. Mr. Connors further reported that 22 employees of the EMC are paid by the city.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Dot Berning
Acting Secretary
