2006 -- some of our many volunteers working hard (hardly working?) in the WIA booth.

2005

It seemed as though it would never come to pass. After all the planning and hard work, we once again have had a very exciting and successful week. So many people selflessly offered their time, expertise, and worked numerous shifts. This being our only fund raising event for the year, we could not have made it happen without the great volunteers who deserve all of the credit and our gratitude.

Thanks also go to Shylers’ Restaurant and Farm Boy for providing us with exceptional service, and to the Pet Food Center for very graciously allowing us to use their water source for our Lemon Shake-Ups. We couldn’t have done it without you.

To Fred Padget, who worked all day, everyday, to assure our success. Thank you.

A special thank you to Bonnie Kolb, my mother, who has chaired this event for many more years than she ever planned. It’s a full time job guiding this operation and keeping all of us in line.

I think that after all is said and done, we can all say that we actually had a good time!

We would like to acknowledge all the volunteers--more than sixty--it takes to get the booth out/in storage, preparing, and operating during the week. Next year will roll around quickly. Keep your calendars open. For those of you who have never worked in the booth; try it next year. You’ll have a great time.
