| | Our annual awards banquet and final general meeting of the year was
held on Wednesday, November 14, at the Old Mill Restaurant. After a
delicious buffet dinner, President Paul Farmer acted as master of ceremonies for
awards presentations followed by election of officers and at-large board members
for 2002.

| Tracy Walz, a senior at Reitz High School, won
the 2001 Farmer Family Scholarship. This $1,000 award is based on
academic excellence and community involvement. |

| Allison Bush, a senior at Mater Dei, won the
Paul Harper scholarship. The Harper Scholarship, valued at $1,000,
recognizes an outstanding student in academics and extracurricular
activities. |

| Deputy Sheriff James Polston, the VCSO
compliance officer, accepted the Environmental Excellence Award for the
department's efforts to improve Vanderburgh County through enforcement of
ordinances dealing with noise, junk, etc. |

| Barbara Cunningham, who will retire as
Executive Director of the Area Plan Commission at the end of the year,
accepts the Governmental Excellence Award for her many years of service to the people
of Vanderburgh County. |

| Bonnie Kolb was presented with the centerpiece
as a thank-you for her years of service as Fall Festival committee
chair. |

| Linda Cleek, WIA secretary and web master,
received the Outstanding Board Member Award for 2001. |
